Inés is a lifelong resident of the midwest, having grown up in Chicago in early childhood and then moving to Michigan as an adolescent. She attended the University of Michigan's School for Visual Arts, where she studied graphic arts and cultural history. Her interest in independent music was developed through living in a punk house and the local student radio, WCBN-FM.

After returning to Chicago, her interest in dance music was focused during her time working at the renowned underground party Durty Truth. There she met and was mentired by the likes of disco titans Darryn Jones and Mark Grusane.

Many others have contributed to her understanding of the Chicago tradition, through listening and conversation: Marc Davis, Nosha Luv, Sadar Bahar, Material, Stacey Collins, Craig Alexander, Rahaan, Brian Borden, Specter, DJ Dirty Chancleta, Mario Mars, and too many more to list here. Work Ethic remains her labor of love: month after month, Inés and a team of Chicago's best push to keep putting on one of Chicago's most beloved independent parties. The party's notable guests always share one trait: They work hard.
